This camp is led by Dr. Leon Geter, Director of the Center for Cyber Security at Benedict College, and is part of the Consortium Enabling Cybersecurity Opportunities for Research (CECOR). CECOR is focused on creating a K-20 pipeline to introduce students of all ages to coding with an emphasis in cybersecurity and provides an opportunity for these students to be involved in ongoing cybersecurity research. This camp is part of year-long programming, with Saturday classes throughout the year, and an intensive summer camp program. CECOR is funded by the Department of Energy and is a consortium of 11 schools and national labs.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second year, that Dr. Chowdhury has hosted this program at Clemson University. Students started their visit with a presentation from Dr. Chowdhury on his work with Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV)\/Smart Infrastructure and the need for cybersecurity programming. This presentation was followed by a lively question and answer period, and a programming activity led by Clemson PhD student Sakib Khan. After the students finished their coding activity they were transported to the Frank J. Jervy Athletic Center where they were able to see C<sup>2<\/sup>M<sup>2<\/sup>&#8216;s Clemson University Connected and Automated Vehicles Testbed (CU-CAVT) in action.
