Mission statement:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Geo-Institute Graduate Student Organization (GI-GSO) at\nClemson University is established with the goal of enriching the geotechnical\nengineering study experience of the students. The mission statements towards\nachieving the goal are provided below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Increase\nthe interaction between students and faculties.<\/li>
  2. Develop\na platform to discuss and share the research interests among other fellow\nstudents.<\/li>
  3. Introduce\nthe students about Geo-Institute (G-I) and encourage them to become the G-I\nstudent members.<\/li>
  4. Encourage\nstudents to participate in different G-I activities.<\/li>
  5. Increase\nthe awareness about geotechnical engineering among the undergraduate students\nand explain them about graduate school opportunities in the field of\ngeotechnical engineering.<\/li>
  6. Provide\nleadership opportunities.<\/li>
  7. Establish\nnetwork with the industries to explore career opportunities.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Objectives:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The objectives of GI-GSO at Clemson University to fulfill\nits missions are provided below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Holding\nregular meetings.<\/li>
    2. Arranging\nfield trips for civil engineering students to the construction sites.<\/li>
    3. Increasing\nthe participation of students in G-I\/ASCE conferences and competitions.<\/li>
    4. Inviting\nguest speakers to present a talk and encouraging students to establish network\nwith them.<\/li>
    5. Arranging\nthe activities involving participation of faculties and students to increase\nthe interaction among them.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
