Posted September 5, 2011 By Michael Jaeggli

The BTRL is proud to announce that undergraduate alumnus Jordan Maivelett has been awarded a National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NBIB) Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA). The IRTA is a very competitive program described as “providing recent college graduates who are planning to apply to graduate or professional (medical/dental/pharmacy) school an opportunity to spend one or two years performing full-time research at the NIH. Postbac IRTAs/CRTAs work side-by-side with some of the leading scientists in the world, in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research.” Jordan will be working in the Infrared Imaging and Thermometry Unit performing clinical and basic imaging research.
