The Carbenska conference is closely connected to the Carbon Ring and reflects its mission of fostering a focused and engaged carbon research community. The ultimate goal is to strengthen collaboration with other carbon-focused groups and societies towards advancing research on carbon hybrids and systems.
The Carbon Ring is a collaborative network of researchers and institutions focused on advancing carbon science, carbon materials, and carbon-based technologies. It serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and strengthening connections within the carbon research community. The Carbon Ring was established to bring together research groups working in complementary areas of carbon science and engineering. By creating a focused and connected network, the Carbon Ring promotes the exchange of ideas, coordination of research efforts, and the development of long-term collaborations across institutions.
This implementation project “AccelNet – Broadening Carbon Ring” was funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) through grant number 2412500 in 2024 to develop a network of networks of researchers in the area of carbon materials and devices.
