Ultrasonic Distance Sensor

Short Background
In road vehicles, ultrasonic distance sensors are commonly used as the distance sensor in low-speed, close distance detections, such as that need in back-up sensing and parking systems.
In the video that follows, I demonstrate my own distance sensor using the Arduino microcontroller and a MaxBotix Maxsonar sensing device. Links to the manufacturers' website are found below.
