Interior Lights

Basic Description

Vehicles have interior lights to illuminate various areas when the ambient light is not sufficient or to provide styling accents that make the interior attractive and functional. Most cars have a traditional "dome light" that is usually located on the ceiling and illuminates the entire interior of the vehicle when a door is opened. In addition, many cars have map lights that aid the driver or passengers when attempting to see something (e.g. a map) when the rest of the vehicle is dark. As with the exterior lights, incandescent bulbs have been largely replaced by more efficient and durable Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) for interior lighting applications.
