Flat ribbon cable vs cylindrical cable Modeling a Powerbus and Cable with HFSS
A flat ribbon was used to approximate the round wire cable. The width of the ribbon was 4 times the
radius of the round wire. Figures 1- 4 present the calculated far
field radiation from the two cable models.
It was observed that the flat ribbon approximation produced similar results. ![]()
