Medical students from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville (UofSCSOMG) collaborated with ECHO lab over the summer as part of the Student Opportunities for Academic Achievement Through Research Program in Greenville (SOARinG) program. These students presented their work at the annual UofSCSOMG Annual Medical Student Research Symposium.

2nd- year PhD student Alec Gonzales presents his work titled: Evaluating Back and Shoulder Support Exoskeletons in Postures Typical in General Surgery.

2nd-year PhD student Alec Gonzales wins 1st place at the IISE Doctoral Colloquium during the IISE 2023 Annual Conference and Expo. He presented a 3-min pitch over his research titled: Evaluation of Exoskeleton Support for Minimally Invasive Surgeons: Assessment of Postures in a Laboratory and Live Procedure.
