Use one operation per move to reach the target exactly.
<< removes the last digit from the current value. For example, 128 becomes 12 and -47 becomes -4.
x^2 squares the current value, so 7 becomes 49.
3 -> 7 is one example of a digit-replace button. It replaces every "3" in the current value with "7". So 35 would become 75 and 323 would become 727.
Division can only be applied when the result stays a whole number, and digit replacement can only be applied when the current value already contains the digit being swapped.
Wait out the 15-second delay to earn a hint, then use it to see the next step. Hints reveal the first steps of the hidden solution. After you earn a hint, press "Show Hints" to reveal it.
All messages appear both in the temporary flashing message and in the persistent message box to the right of the “Moves Left” indicator.
Each difficulty mode keeps its own score. Winning adds 1 point, losing subtracts 1 point, and scores never go below 0.
