Tianke Wang (Kirk), PhD program in Industrial Engineering<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Kirk started his PhD in industrial engineering at Clemson in 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 2018
MSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He worked at Mayo Clinic as a health services analyst working on the human factors and ergonomics in healthcare delivery, with a focus in improving the ergonomics of surgical settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His research interests are Exoskeleton design and human factors for healthcare applications, surgical ergonomics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yindong Wang, PhD program in Industrial Engineering<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Yindong started his PhD in the Industrial Engineering department at Clemson University in Fall 2023, specializing in Human Factors & Ergonomics. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned an MS in Automotive Engineering from Clemson University, a BE in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Stony Brook University, and an AS in Engineering Science from Herkimer County Community College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yindong\u2019s broad research interests include Biomechanics, Human-system interaction, and more. He is enthusiastic about exploring and evaluating innovative solutions to prevent workplace injuries, enhance work experience, and improve work efficiency. His current focus is on the effectiveness of exoskeletons in healthcare applications. With both industrial and research experience across multiple disciplines, Yindong combines technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. He is always passionate about learning how things work and applying creative approaches to complex problems, with the ultimate goal of making improvements in safety and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ananya Nagabhushana Rao, PhD program in Industrial Engineering<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Ananya started her PhD in the Human Factors & Ergonomics program at Clemson University in Spring 2023. She has an MS in Aeronautical Engineering from University of South Wales, UK and BTech. degree in Aerospace Engineering from SASTRA University, India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ananya’s research interests are applications of different control strategies for active exoskeleton devices in industry and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ananya also has industrial experience of over a year<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duleepa Namal Subasinghe, PhD program in Industrial Engineering<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Duleepa started his PhD in the Industrial Engineering program at Clemson University in Spring 2022. He has a Master of Science in Applied Electronics from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and Bachelor of Science in Physics from University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. His research interest lies in Rehabilitation and Sports Biomechanics, focusing on applying exoskeleton technology within these domains. He is driven to explore how exoskeletons can enhance rehabilitation processes and optimize athletic performance by harnessing the principles of biomechanics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is determined  to contribute to advancements that improve the quality of life for individuals undergoing rehabilitation and enhance the capabilities of athletes in the world of sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mehdi Shayan, PhD program in Bioengineering<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Mehdi started his PhD in Bioengineering at Clemson University in Spring 2024. He earned an MS in
Bioengineering from Clemson University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his doctoral journey, Mehdi aims to contribute to understanding, preserving, and improving human movement by utilizing exoskeletons. His broad research interests are Human-Robot Interaction, Biomechanics, and Computer Vision. He is a published researcher with a diverse background in various applications of robotics and artificial intelligence, including surgical\/medical simulators, social robots, and wearable devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mehdi has over one year experience working in the industry. He is passionate about R&D that
significantly impacts human lives. Mehdi has good interpersonal skills and was a semi-professional Track and field athlete, competing at national Iranian championships. (Link to Mehdi\u2019s online portfolio<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rahul Narasimhan Raghuraman, PhD program in Industrial Engineering<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Rahul started his PhD in the Human Factors & Ergonomics program at Clemson University in Fall 2021. He has a BTech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIIT-D&M Kancheepuram, India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rahul\u2019s research interests are applications of passive and active exoskeleton devices in industry and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rahul also has experience in rapid prototyping, lower limb prosthetics and new product development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vishwajeet Ransing, PhD program in Industrial Engineering<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Vishwajeet started his PhD in the Human Factors & Ergonomics program at Clemson University\u2019s Industrial Engineering department in Fall 2021. He has a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University and a Master\u2019s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from University of Michigan-Dearborn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His broad research interests include Human-centered design and Human-system interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
