Mission Statement

The Graduate Student Research (GSR) Seminar aims to promote the dissemination and discussion of graduate student research taking place within the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences at Clemson University. Thus, contributing to the higher goals of enhancing communication and fostering the spirit of fraternity within the scientific community.

Towards this mission, the objectives of the Graduate Research Seminar are:

• To function as a platform for student information exchange at a level accessible to people from all departments within the college.
• To serve as a forum for speakers to disseminate their understanding of scientific topics relevant to the CECAS community.
• To provide feedback and constructive critique through peer review.
• To create awareness within the community about active research directions, and to foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
• To infuse within all its members the camaraderie of a thriving scientific environment.
