This effort combines operations research (OR) and human factors (HF) methods to address societally pressing problems. This will allow OR models to truly capture the human element of the system being studied and consider HF problems that can be enhanced through advanced analytics.
This framing will help prepare you to conduct interdisciplinary, human-centered research to address complex social and technological problems, an important emerging need for engineers.
