Dr. Kapil Chalil Madathil’s area of expertise is applying the knowledge base of human factors engineering to the design and operation of human-computer systems for complex environments that involve rich interactions between people and technology. He has specific expertise in the areas of human factors and system design and is currently active in the application of these principles to healthcare domain.

Aasish earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from TKM College of Engineering, Kerala, India, and his Master’s degree in Ocean Technology and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India (IITM). He is currently developing decision support models to aid online customers in selecting contractors for home maintenance and developing models to understand trust evolution in human-AI systems.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and participating in activities such as traveling, playing badminton, cricket, and soccer.

Camden earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University and is a recipient of the DoD SMART scholarship. His area of research focuses on human-artificial intelligence teaming, exploring ways in which these two entities can collaborate in an effective manner. Camden is utilizing his scholarship to split his time between Clemson University and the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic in Charleston, where he continues to study and apply his knowledge in the field. With a strong background in industrial engineering and a passion for exploring the intersection of humans and artificial intelligence, Camden is well-equipped to make meaningful contributions to the field of human-artificial intelligence teaming.

Snowil Lopes

Snowil has a degree in Architecture from Mumbai University and two Master’s degrees in Construction Science and Business Administration from Clemson University. He currently works as an energy engineer at Clemson University and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. His research focuses on enhancing distributed cognition in human-agent collectives for critical infrastructure resilience. In his free time, Snowil enjoys hiking, camping, and painting.
