Our group has always been interested in algae, for various reasons. Here is a collection of scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of some interesting algae collected in the Clemson area by Cassidy Laird, with help from Muriel Steele. We won third prize in Clemson’s “Science as Art” competition for the four-panel mirrored “Malamonas Cubed” image.
