I am an undergraduate student studying environmental engineering. With the help of Dr. Ladner, I am working with Anderson Regional Joint Water System to address their Assimilable Organic Carbon (AOC) issue post ozone installation. The two main concerns associated with AOC are the growth/proliferation of pathogens and
potential reactions with residual chlorine. Therefore, my research is mainly focused on measuring AOC throughout the plant and distribution system.
