David has studied Environmental Engineering since his undergraduate degree at New Mexico Tech in his home state in 2003. He completed Masters (2005) and PhD (2009) work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with Mark Clark as his adviser. Ladner was a postdoc with Paul Westeroff at Arizona State University, then came to Clemson as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2010.
A key goal in Ladner’s life is finding good water jokes to share with his family: Miriam, Isaac, Grace, and Simon. He also likes to run, bike, swim, hike, etc., all to record GPS routes for his map.
