David Freedman has been Chair of the Department of Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences at Clemson University for the past ten years. He has done a fabulous job and has decided to step down. I’ve applied for the chair position and prepared this research and vision presentation as part of the interview process. Whether I’m selected for the position or not, it has been fun to summarize some experiences and ideas. The slides are heavy on photos and light on words so the meaning may not be clear without the accompanying seminar verbiage, but I’d like to make them available anyway.
