In February I posted a 3D drawing of a “pillar helix”<\/a> that was used in a grant proposal submission. Recently we learned that the grant was funded.<\/p>\n

The grant is called “An integrated multiscale modeling and experimental approach to design fouling-resistant membranes<\/a>.” It is a collaborative proposal submitted to the National Science Foundation’s Designing Materials to Revolutionize and Engineer our Future (DMREF) program. The principal investigator (PI) is Sapna Sarupria<\/a>. Scott Husson<\/a> and I are Co-PIs along with Ilenia Battiato<\/a> at San Diego State University. The award amount is $970,000 over four years.<\/p>\n
