The way this type of generator makes electricity is very unique. A circuit is constructed in which a rotating disk magnet has electrodes attached to its rim and at its center. Logically, this should not result in a generator; however, homopolar generators are one of the best ways to produce extremely high electrical currents. There have even been attempts to create perpetual motion devices out of these generators!<\/p>\n<p>You can find all of the parts and drawings of our homopolar generator below so that you can build
