Ashfaqul Hoque Khadem | Graduate Research Assistant (Ph.D.)

Ashfaqul graduated from the Bangladesh University of Textiles in 2022. Following that, he served as a lecturer at the University of Scholars. In Fall 2024, he began his Ph.D. studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University.

Research interest: 1D/2D materials, fiber composites, electrospinning, nanomaterial composites

Haoyu (Zec) Wang

Zec received his bachelor’s degree from the Clemson University in 2022. In Fall 2022, he began his Ph.D. studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson Univerisity.

Research interest: Multiscale modeling; Molecular dynamics simulation; Computational Mechanics; Electrospinning

Sumit Kolte 

Sumit earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2019 and completed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University in 2024. He is a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with a strong academic foundation and two years of professional experience in design, manufacturing, assembly, and quality control.

Research interest: 3D printing, SolidWorks, Simulations

Aditya Chauhan

Aditya Chauhan earned his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), India, and is pursuing an M.S. at Clemson University. He specializes in composite materials, inelastic material modeling, and advanced manufacturing processes, with experience in material characterization and microstructural analysis. He completed internships at the Indian Institute of Science and Tata Motors, gaining expertise in composite fabrication, defect analysis, and quality control.

Research interest: Composite materials, material characterization, structural optimization, advanced manufacturing techniques, and defect analysis in precision engineering

Atharva H. Shastri

Atharva earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University (India) in 2019 and completed his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University in December 2024. He brings a well-rounded blend of academic and industry experience in process automation, product design and manufacturing systems. His background includes work in automotive manufacturing, valve manufacturing, Quality Assurance, PLC programming, CAD modeling, finite element analysis (FEA) and renewable energy applications.

Research interest: Advanced manufacturing, product design & analysis, Rapid Prototyping and bioinspired design

Sanaa Lemmon

After graduating high school, Sanaa began her studies at Trident Technical College before transferring to Clemson University. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree, and planning to obtain her master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
