Congratulations to Dr. Srikanth Pilla for\u00a0successfully leading a team of researchers in winning $5.81 Million grant<\/span> ($2.25 Million from Department of Energy\u00a0and the rest from private industry) to develop an ultra-lightweight door expected to help automakers in their race to meet federal fuel economy standards.\u00a0The Co-PIs\u00a0include\u00a0Gang Li , Melur\u00a0Ramasubramanian and Paul Venhovens from Clemson and Shridhar Yarlagadda and his team from Center for Composite Materials at the University of Delaware.<\/p>\n
