Dear students:

I am writing to inform you that French 4160 (French for International Business) will be offered in Spring 2022.  It explores the French-speaking markets of the world and the linguistic and cultural idioms which support international economics, management, marketing and trade.

The course also serves as a preparation for the Diplôme de français des affaires granted by the Chamber of Commerce of Paris with whom Clemson University signed a Convention of Cooperation. This diploma is well recognized internationally.

Given the presence of French companies in the Automobile industry and in Bioengineering in South Carolina, this diploma can be of interest to students interested in working for Michelin, Schneider, Saint-Gobain or Faurecia to name a few.

A minimum of two years of French would be necessary to take the course, or by consent based on the student’s ability in the language. If you have any question, you can contact me at etouya@clemson.edu.

Thank you,

Eric Touya
