December 07, 2016<\/strong>, Dr. Joshua Tong visited the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and delivered an invited talk of “Sustainable Clean Energy Based Solid State Ionic Materials and Devices.”<\/p>\n

November 28-30, 2016<\/strong>, Dr. Joshua Tong participated the MRS 2016 Fall Meeting & Exhibition<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0at Boston and delivered an invited talk of “Cost-Effective Low-Temperature Protonic Ceramic Fuel Cells.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

November 04<\/strong>, Dr. Joshua Tong’s research of “Direct Conversion of Methane to Ammonia and Ethylene by a Three-Step Thermochemical Cyclic Process: Reduction, Nitridation, and Protonation<\/em>” was awarded $110,000 <\/strong>by ACS PRF<\/strong> for two years (September 1, 2017\u00a0– August 31, 2019).<\/p>\n

November 1-4, 2016<\/strong>, Dr. Joshua Tong participated the AIChE Natural Gas Utilization Workshop<\/em><\/strong> at Morgantown West Virginia.<\/p>\n

October 24-26, 2016<\/strong>, Dr. Joshua Tong participated the MS&T 16 meeting<\/strong> <\/em>\u00a0at Salt Lake City, Utah and delivered an oral presentation of “Solid State Reactive Sintering for Protonic Ceramics.”<\/p>\n

October 15, 2016<\/strong>, Our paper of “Protonic transport modification in proton conducting BaCe0.6<\/sub>Zr0.3<\/sub>Y0.1<\/sub>O3\u2212\u03b4<\/sub> with transition metal oxide dopants” was published on Solid State Ionics<\/em><\/strong>, 294, 37-42 (2016<\/strong>) (Collaborated with Colorado School of Mines).<\/p>\n

October 12, 2016<\/strong>, Our MKS\u00a0\u00a0Cirrus 2 MS was successfully installed and is ready to use.<\/p>\n

October 07, 2016<\/strong>, Our paper of “Zr and Y co-doped perovskite as a stable, high-performance cathode for solid oxide fuel cells operating below 500 \u00b0C” was first published in Energy & Environmental Science<\/strong><\/em>, 10, 176-182 (2017<\/strong>) (collaborated with Colorado School of Mines).<\/span><\/p>\n

September 18-19, 2016<\/strong>, Dr. Joshua Tong participated the Southeastern Catalysis Society, 15th Annual Fall Meeting<\/em><\/strong> at Asheville, North Carolina and delivered a faculty talk of “A Triple Conducting Perovskite Oxide as an Electrocatalyst for Oxygen Reduction Reaction for Protonic Ceramic Fuel Cells.”<\/p>\n

September 5, 2016<\/strong>, Dr. Dong Jiang started to work as a Postdoctoral\u00a0Scholar in our SCEL group.<\/p>\n

July 10 – July 13, 2016<\/strong>, Dr. Joshua Tong participated the 14th International Conference on Inorganic Membranes<\/em><\/strong> at Atlanta, Georgia and delivered an oral presentation of “Low-Temperature Protonic Ceramic Fuel Cells”.<\/p>\n
