I joined Clemson in July 2000, after finishing my Ph.D. in Communications at Clemson in December of 1997 and working at Dixie-Narco Corporation in Williston, South Carolina.

 

I was born in Anderson, SC June 16, 1966 and moved to the beautiful town of Jacksonville, Alabama in 1968 where my father became head of the Physics Department at Jacksonville State University and my mother ran The Children’s House Creative School.

 

I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University in 1988 and my Masters under Dr. John Komo in 1990.

 

I received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering under Dr. Komo in 1997.  The title of my dissertation was “Soft Decision Decoding of BCH Codes Using Extended Error Magnitudes.”

 

I married Miss Ellison Rushton of Greenville in 1994 and now have four beautiful children. who will all attend Clemson one day.
