Preq or concurrent enrollment: CE 3410 or CHE 2300 or ME 3080; or GEOL 4820 and either GEOL 4150 or MATH 2060<\/p>\n<p><strong>EES 4840 Municipal Solid Waste Management and Engineering (3)\u00a0<\/strong>Introduction to the problems, regulations, collection, handling, recycling, and disposal of municipal solid wastes in the urban and rural sectors. Emphasizes an integrated waste-management system with resource recovery, composting, incineration, landfill disposals, and their costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EES 8030 Physicochemical Operations in Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems<\/strong>\u00a0(3)<br \/>\nPrinciples of physicochemical operations used in water and wastewater treatment including sedimentation, filtration, mixing, gas transfer, adsorption, ion exchange, coagulation, precipitation, disinfection, and oxidation.
