{"id":1990,"date":"2024-06-04T12:30:50","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T16:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cecas.clemson.edu\/~ericd\/?page_id=1990"},"modified":"2024-12-04T19:47:18","modified_gmt":"2024-12-05T00:47:18","slug":"chbe-gaann-mesh-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cecas.clemson.edu\/~ericd\/chbe-gaann-mesh-program\/","title":{"rendered":"ChBE GAANN: MESH Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Program, US Department of Education<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Molecular Engineering for Sustainability and Health (MESH) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Chemical &amp; Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) is pleased to offer fellowships through our GAANN: MESH Program for qualified students to pursue a PhD in Chemical Engineering. These prestigious awards are funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education and provide fellowship support to graduate students with excellent academic records who demonstrate financial need and intend to pursue careers in teaching and\/or research. This program aims to better prepare PhD students to be successful in today&#8217;s teaching and\/or research environment. Another goal of the program is to enable students from traditionally underrepresented and underserved groups to pursue doctoral degrees in chemical engineering, while also preparing them to become leaders in academia and industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These prestigious GAANN Fellowships carry a stipend of up to $37,000 per year (based on financial need) and access to additional travel funds to support the development of a professional network.
