He will be joining Leidos as a Materials Scientist, where he will be working onsite at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) in Oregon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ph.D. student Som Dixit was selected as one of the two recipients of the 2024 Hitachi Microscopy Graduate Fellowship at Clemson University, receiving a $25,000 award in recognition of his outstanding use of electron microscopy in his research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Som and my review paper &#8220;Additive Manufacturing of High-strength Aluminum Alloys&#8221; won Editor&#8217;s Choice Article. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Liu presented at the TMS-2024 conference with the talk &#8220;Multiscale Characterization of the Heterogeneous Composition-Microstructure-Property Relationships in Additive Manufacturing Multicomponent Materials.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ph.D. student Som Dixit achieved CECAS GSAB Supplementary Travel Award for his presentation entitled&#8221;Investigating build orientation-induced mechanical anisotropy in additive manufacturing 316L stainless steel&#8221; at the TMS-2024 conference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ph.D. student Som Dixit secured 2nd position in MRS &amp; Optica 17th annual poster competition at Clemson University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Liu received 2024 SME Susan Smyth Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineering Award.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Liu was an invited speaker in the College of Engineering at Oregon State University on November 27, 2023. Her seminar title was &#8220;A Multiphysics and Multiscale Simulation Framework of the Process-Structure-Property Relationship for Additive Manufacturing Alloys&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Liu received the NSF CAREER Award for the project: \u201cCAREER: Understanding Dynamic Recrystallization Mechanisms in Hybrid In-situ Rolled Additive Manufacturing.\u201d (2023)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Liu received the 2022 Best Reviewers Award for the Journal of Manufacturing Science And Engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Liu was an invited speaker in the Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Department at the University of Toledo on October 28, 2022. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Liu was an invited speaker at the Additive Manufacturing Benchmarks Conference on August 16, 2022.
