About RCEE
The Research Center of Economic Excellence (RCEE) was established for economic development of South Carolina by assisting existing and potential companies in the South Carolina to survive, increase profit and address local and global competition. RCEE is a joint venture of senior research universities of South Carolina in assistance to the State Government and private funding, providing supply chain, logistics and peculiar problem solutions to the industries of South Carolina. The goal of RCEE is to develop and leverage the research capabilities of the universities for the creation of well-paying jobs and enhanced economic opportunities in knowledge-based industries for the residents of South Carolina.
RCEE organization constitutes of three universities; Clemson University, the Medical University of South Carolina, and the University of South Carolina.
Through our consortium of researchers, local industry affiliates, and national partners, you can have access to the some of the most cutting edge and up-to-date information in the supply chain and logistics arena.
Approved and incepted in May 2007 by South Carolina Commission on Higher education, RCEE at Clemson is committed to provide ongoing support to the South Carolina industries multifaceted problems through its research and its eventual application, thus rendering economic stimuli in the state. To facilitate this, RCEE features both within and inter-college interdisciplinary faculty, academic and industrial partnerships. A great academic curriculum is supported with industry driven projects from corporations like Fluor corporation.
RCEE membership with annual dues is used to sustain the research and facilities at the university. The members in return receive solution to the supply chain, logistics and industry peculiar problems. Special industry oriented curriculum is developed to train students that suit the needs of the industry.
