Lab Members
Graduate Students

Ge Pan
Ph.D. Student
pan4@g.clemson.edu

Ge Pan earned her master’s degree in science from Shandong University, China in 2021, and joined Dr. Wang’s lab as a Ph.D. candidate in 2023. Her research in the lab is focused on musculoskeletal tissue preservation, particularly the processes of vitrification and rewarming in tissues. Outside of the lab, she enjoys hiking with friends and practicing yoga.

Haiyang Ma
Ph.D. Student
haiyanm@g.clemson.edu

I am Haiyang, from Shandong province. I obtained a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Taiyuan University of Technology. During my time there, I realized that I was interested in the signal pathway of cell biology. Currently, my research focuses on understanding the mechanism of injury during cryopreservation, which is incredibly exciting to me. I like working out at the gym every other day, and if you are interested, we can exercise together.

Dustin Mueller
(Co-Mentor with Dr. Hai Yao)
DMD/Ph.D. Student

Dustin is a DMD/PhD student enrolled in the Dual-Degree program at the College of Dental Medicine, Medical University of South Caroline (MUSC). His current research is centered on the cryopreservation of viable temporomandibular joint (TMJ) allografts, and he is being mentored by Dr. Hai Yao and Dr. Wang.
