Welcome to my website!

My research explores the interconnections between sustainable design and operation of buildings and the health and wellness impacts on their occupants. To harness the built environment as a medium to support sustainability and human health, well-being, productivity, and engagement, my research specifically focuses on two human-building interaction research thrusts:

1) Healthy Built Environments. In this thrust, I am interested in assessing the impacts of building systems and environments on human well-being, with an emphasis on thermal comfort.

2) Occupant Energy Use Behaviors and Conservation. This research thrust aims to understand the significant influence of human cognitive and behavioral processes and the resulting behaviors on building energy consumption.
