Congratulations to all the Clemson graduates of May 2015. From our group we had Ben Burdette and Valton King receiving their Master’s degrees. Kristen Carpenter received her Bachelor’s degree. Many of the other undergraduates finishing this May were in my Capstone Design course; it is fun to celebrate with them after seeing their hard work this semester as they tackled some interesting environmental engineering problems.
Look for Valton’s and Ben’s papers to be coming out in the near future. Algae harvesting with membranes and chloride to sulfate mass ratios were their topics, respectively. Kristen will continue working in our group during her MS degree, focusing on dendritic polymers for oil spill dispersion.
Seeing your students succeed is a lot like seeing your children succeed. It brings joy to the soul.
