Baja SAE is a collegiate design competition sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers in which teams from universities around the world compete in an off-road challenge. The team is comprised of students from all majors and backgrounds, and no prior experience is necessary. Every year we build a new vehicle that is better, faster, and stronger than anything we've built before. We take pride in being part of the Clemson family, and help maintain Clemson's winning tradition by having top finishes at our competitions each year.
Student members work together in order to design, build, test, promote, and race a rugged, single seat, off-road vehicle. Baja SAE is truely where the classroom meets the real world. Members get to take the theory they learn in class and apply it to a real world product. By designing and manufacturing parts themselves members learn to incorporate manufacturability into the designs they create. This is one of the most important things the Baja SAE program gives to its members: real world experience.
