Steps to Solutions
Help students prepare for the lab by discussing these questions to get them thinking about engineering.
- Define the Problem
- Imagine
- Plan
- Create
- Test & Evaluate
- Improve & Present
What is engineering?
How can you think like an engineer?
What do engineers do?
What is the engineering design process?
Where do they work?
During the Lab
Imagine and Design
Present the instructional video to students. Using the Engineering Notebook pages, students should follow along with the video to imagine and design what they will build. Teachers are encouraged to work alongside students during the lab, helping them see how each step in the engineering design process is being used.
Post-Lab Questionaire
Evaluate Activities
Please fill out the post-survey after all activities.
