Dr. Tuyen (Robert) Le, Ph.D., Associate Professor. Dr. Le is the leader of the research team. He joins the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering, Clemson University in August 2018. Prior to Clemson, he worked as a post-doctoral research associate for one year in the CCEE Department at Iowa State University (ISU) in Dr. H. David Jeong‘s lab. He obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Construction Engineering and Management from ISU in 2017. He holds both B.S. (with honors) and M.S. degrees from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. He has been serving as a reviewer for various journals such as the Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, Automation in Construction, the International Journal of Construction Management, and the Journal of Engineering, Design, and Technology. Ph.D. Students
Aashish Ghimire [Aug. 2024 – Present] Aashish joined the Clemson Human-centered Construction Informatics Group as a Ph.D. student in Fall 2024, after completing his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Tribhuvan University, Nepal. With extensive industry experience in civil engineering and design, Aashish brings a depth of practical knowledge to his academic endeavors. His research interest centers on enhancing Human-AI collaboration in construction management, where he employs machine learning, generative AI, and computer vision to develop innovative, data-driven solutions aimed at optimizing construction processes and improving project outcomes.
Thinh Nguyen [Aug.2022-May.2025]. Nguyen joined the lab as a Ph.D. student in Fall 2022. He obtained both B.S. (with honors) and M.S. degrees from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam. He has several years of broad industry experience in project management. His research interest is focused on Human-AI collaboration in construction management; he attempts to conduct in-depth research on the possibilities of Machine Learning in different aspects of construction management.
Kehinde Elelu [Aug.2021 – December.2024] Elelu joined the Clemson Human-centered Construction Informatics Group as a Ph.D. student in Fall 2021. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He has years of experience working as a professional data scientist with extensive data management and analysis knowledge. He also has experience designing and deploying enterprise-wide scalable operations on cloud platforms. His research focuses on Human-AI interaction and its application in the construction industry. More specifically on sound equipment and the ability to process this massive audio data using Machine Learning to innovate computerized technologies in managing construction projects.
Quan Do [Aug.2021-December.2024]. Do graduated in December 2024 and currently works as an Engineer II at AtkinsRéalis. He joined the lab as a Ph.D. student in Fall 2021. He earned his Bachelor’s degree with honors in Civil Engineering (2017) and Master’s degree in Construction Management (2020) from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. He brings a new perspective to the group with his several years of experience as a technical executive and construction management engineer. Khang Dang [Aug.2019-Sep.2020]. Dang entered the lab as a Ph.D. student in Fall 2019. He received his B.E. degree in civil engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam, and the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon, France, in 2017. His research interest centers on project management techniques and the efficiency of stakeholders in dealing with data. He attempts to conduct in-depth research on the ability of Machine Learning in processing massive amounts of data to innovate computerized technologies in the management of construction projects.
Yongcan Huang [Jan.2020-Sep.2020]. Huang started his Ph.D. program at the HF-CCM group in Spring 2020. Huang received a B.S. degree with honors in Road, Bridge, and River-crossing Engineering from Wuhan Institute of Technology, China in 2017 and an M.S. degree in Traffic and Transportation Engineering from Changsha University of Science and Technology, China in 2019. He worked as a research assistant at NAKAGAWA Masafumi Lab of Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan in 2018. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Point Cloud Visualization, and Segmentation. His current research is focused on Human-AI collaboration in construction.
Fahad Ul Hassan [Jan.2019-December.2022]. Hassan graduated in May 2022 and currently works for Dun & Bradstreet as a data scientist. He joined the lab as a Ph.D. student in Spring 2019. He obtained his bachelor’s degree with honors in civil engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore in Pakistan. He possesses several years of broad industry experience in project management. His PhD dissertation is focused on the implementation of computational advances including Big Data Analytics and Natural Language Processing in construction contract requirements management. Master Students
Shravan Kumar Kandregula [Jan.2019-July.2020]. Kandregula graduated in July 2020 and currently works for Willmeng Construction, Inc as an Assistant Project Manager. He joined the lab as a Master student in Spring 2019. His research is focused on human errors in BIM-based project management. Linkedin
Rishiraj Brahmbhatt [Aug.2019-Dec.2019]. Brahmbhatt started his Master’s degree program at Clemson University in Fall 2020. His research is focused on human factors in digital design.
