Aiyana is from Newark, DE and is currently attending Delaware State University, majoring in Biology. She enjoys traveling and photography. She is interested in pursuing medical school to become a trauma surgeon. For summer, Aiyana worked with Dr. Chris Saski at Clemson University.

Sydney Clasen is from Severna Park, MD and is currently attending the University of Delaware, majoring in Chemical Engineering. In her spare time, she likes to practice calligraphy and spend time with friends. She hopes to start a career in pharmaceuticals after graduation. For the summer, Sydney worked with Dr. Kelvin Lee at the University of Delaware.

Shanice is from Sicklerville, NJ and is currently attending Virginia State University, majoring in Biochemistry. She enjoys reading, dancing, and collecting state quarters. She is interested in pursuing medical school to become a clinical geneticist and be able to explore better treatments for genetic illness. For the summer, Shanice worked with Dr. Sarah Harcum at Clemson University.

Connor is from Middletown, DE and is currently attending the University of Delaware, majoring in Biological Sciences with minors in Computer Science and Bioinformatics. He enjoys swimming, reading, and baking. He is interested in learning more about how to apply results gained from using gene and protein sequence databases, to future areas of research. For the summer, Connor worked with Dr. Cathy Wu at the University of Delaware.

Joshua Hines is from Chicago, IL and is currently attending Virginia State University, majoring in Biology. He loves to perform dance/step routines. He is interested in pursuing medical school to become a pediatrician but may look into getting either a medical master’s degree or biological science master’s degree. For the summer, Joshua worked with Dr. Derrick Scott at Delaware State University.

Elliot Mercado is from Falls Church, VA. He is majoring in Bioengineering with a minor in Chemistry. He enjoys playing basketball and soccer, listening to music, and reading. He is interested in researching and developing pharmaceuticals.

Katarina Hall is from Grand Junction, CO and is currently studying Chemical Engineering at Tulane University. She enjoys playing rugby, DJing at the school's radio station, and being outdoors. She is interested in continuing her research in biotechnology and learning more about CRISPR. For the summer, she worked with Dr. Sandoval at Tulane.

Jamie is from Latrobe, PA and is currently majoring in Chemical Engineering with minors in Bioengineering, and Chemistry at Pennsylvania State University. She enjoys reading, painting, and baking. For the summer, she worked with Dr. Robinson at Tulane University.

Dwon is from New Orleans, LA and is currently a senior Biology major at Grambling State University. He enjoys skydiving, hiking and learning new things. He is interested in molecular and cellular biology, microbiology, bioinformatics and genetics and aspires to earn a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology or a related field. For the summer, Dwon worked with Dr. Saski at Clemson University.

Sam is from Lansdale, PA and is currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoys music production, exercise and travel. He is interested in microbiology, computer science, and process optimization and is looking to pursue higher education, conduct research projects, and optimize chemical processes in the industry. For the summer, Sam worked with Dr. Gilmore at Clemson University.

Keshawn is from Salisbury, MD and is a senior Forensic Biology Major with a minor in Chemistry at Delaware State University. He enjoys reading, cooking, running and traveling. He is interested in forensic science and bioinformatics and aspires to become a plastic surgeon or forensic DNA analyst. For the summer, Keshawn worked with Dr. Scott at Delaware State University.

Cameron is from Easton, PA and is currently a junior Bioengineering major at Clemson University. He enjoys basketball, golf and soccer and is interested in tissue engineering and biology. For the summer, Cameron worked with Dr. Harcum at Clemson University.

Jasmine is from Waldorf, MD and is currently attending Delaware State University. She enjoys online shopping and listening to music. She is interested in genetics and desires to become a pediatrician. For the summer, Jasmine worked with Dr. Scott at Delaware State University.

Rachel is from Yardley, PA and is currently a senior at the University of Delaware. She enjoys cooking, yoga, and weight training. Her interests include genetics and psychological services and she is looking to pursue a career in genetic counseling. For the summer, Rachel worked with Dr. Wu at the University of Delaware.

Sydney is currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware. She enjoys calligraphy and crafts. She is interested in genetics and statistics and hopes to study bioinformatics in the future. For the summer, Sydney worked with Dr. Robinson at Tulane University.
