Our Mission

An engineering education encompasses more than formal classes and lectures. The Department of Mechanical Engineering provides Clemson University students with the Mechanical Engineering Student Shop and its resources. Specifically, it supplies tools, facilities, materials, and supervisors to foster learning of engineering fabrication processes and tools.  Students may utilize the shop’s resources at no additional cost.  The primary function is to provide a safe, clean, and educational environment to complete class work, research, and personal projects through hands-on experience.
