Today, the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) re-launched the Safer Choice program’s Facebook page as part of a broader effort to raise awareness, understanding, and demand for cleaning and other products made with safer chemical ingredients.
EPA’s Safer Choice program certifies cleaning and other products like detergents, dish soaps, and pet care products containing ingredients that have met the program’s strict safety criteria for human and environmental health. EPA developed the Safer Choice label for cleaners and detergents and the Design for the Environment logo for disinfectants to make it easier for people to find products with ingredients that meet a high standard for human and environmental health.
