EPA’s Incident Waste Decision Support Tool (I-WASTE) is a web-based decision support tool that organizes information related to managing waste resulting from natural disasters, terrorist attacks, or animal health emergencies. I-WASTE can be used by emergency response authorities, waste industry stakeholders, as well as state, tribal and local agencies responsible for making waste management decisions. The tool provides access to guidance to work through important waste management issues to ensure public and worker safety during the removal, transport, treatment and disposal of contaminated waste, as well as tools to estimate waste quantities and locate potential treatment and disposal facilities.
This training webinar will provide an overview of I-WASTE for new users as well as demonstrate functionality for veteran users.

Chemical Safety for Sustainability (CSS) Research Online Tools
February 14, 2024 at 3-4 pm ETEPA produces a variety of computational and exposure tools and other online resources to assist in decision-making and researching the health effects of chemicals. These online resources offer a wealth of chemistry, toxicity, and exposure data that is publicly accessible. Types of available health and ecological effects information include access to: high-throughput screening, rapid exposure and dose, animal toxicity, chemistry, and virtual tissues data. This presentation will provide brief overviews of EPA’s CompTox and exposure tools and resources, such as Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), CompTox Chemicals Dashboard, EcoTox, and Chemical Exposure Knowledgebase (ChemExpo), and more.
