Sustainable Manufacturing and Workforce Forum 2015

On August 28th, 2015, Clemson University and Duke Energy held a Sustainable Manufacturing and Workforce Forum at Clemson University’s ICAR campus in Greenville, South Carolina.

24 people from 18 different companies attended the event to hear about a federally supported program called South Carolina E3 (SC E3). The event ran from 9 am until about 2 pm and featured speakers from the SC E3 Steering Committee. The speakers included Beth Carraway – Clemson University, Pam Swingle – US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), Chuck Spangler – SC Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SC MEP), Stacey Washington – SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC), Perry Stephens – Duke Energy, and Hilary Davidson – Duke Energy.

SC E3 offers South Carolina manufacturers the opportunity to receive professional energy and sustainability assistance. This program is designed to support growth and profit in a sustainable manner through a combination of services provided by Duke Energy, SC Department of Health and Environmental Control, SC Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and more.
