Upcoming EPA Tools & Resources Webinar on One Health (November 15)

One Health is a holistic approach to advancing human well-being that recognizes that the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment: when we protect one, we protect all. EPA has been working with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA), the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), and the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) since 2021 to promote the One Health approach. This year, ASTHO and ECOS developed four case studies showing how states have used the One Health approach to address complex issues. The case studies focus on the work in Georgia around fish tissue monitoring, Idaho around recreational lead exposure,
New Jersey around HABs, and Wisconsin around PFAS.

In honor of One Health Day on November 3rd, this webinar will highlight various One Health
efforts from EPA, AFWA, ASTHO, and ECOS, including the One Health case studies, an update on
the AFWA President’s Task Force on One Health Report, and several One Health highlights at EPA.
