Dr. Zhanhe “Kevin” Liu, originally from China, received his B.S. degree in Mechatronics from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2013. Later he came to Clemson University and received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in December 2015. Kevin joined the Department of Bioengineering the following semester to pursue his Ph.D., and his work includes developing training simulators for hemodialysis cannulation and vascular suturing, as well as exploring the visualization of some medical procedures using ultrasound imaging. After obtaining his Ph.D. from Clemson University in August 2021, Dr. Liu accepted a post-doctoral fellow position in the Singapogu lab to continue his research work. So far, he has experience in programming (C++, Python, R, and Matlab), motion tracking, machine learning classification/prediction techniques, physiological signal acquisition, and electrical circuits design. In his spare time, his passion resides in sports, reading, and traveling.
