Research Interests:
Dr. Gao's research includes optics-based microscopic study of cell-cell and cell-ECM interactions under either engineered in vitro or embryonic in vivo microenvironments, including expertise in dynamic, nonlinear optical imaging of live tissues at the molecular level. One of his current aims is to improve osteoarthritis imaging techniques and diagnosis.
