Assistant Professor of Biophysics
Email: hsanabr@clemson.edu

Research Interests:
Dr. Sanabria is an experimental and theoretical biophysicist whose research focus is to uncover the structure, dynamics, and functional interrelationship of biomolecules and molecular complexes. His training is in Physics, particularly fluorescent compounds used in the Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) technique to illuminate molecular interactions. He is currently collaborating with Dr. Feng Ding to apply a combined multiscale experimental and modeling approach to uncover the structure, dynamics, and functional relationship of osteoclast-specific V-ATPases, which is important for osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. The goal is to design therapeutic approaches to reduce the osteoclast-mediated bone resorption in osteoporosis.
