US Remote Sensing Information Gateway – An Air Quality Relevant Case Study
Decisions on air quality management are often informed through analyses of complex data. Facilitating access to complex data sets in an analysis-ready fashion is an important component to aid in improved decision-making. The Remote Sensing Information Gateway (RSIG) is a web-based application which creates a bridge between air quality relevant data sets and data analytics. RSIG was developed by EPA as a simple way to visualize, analyze, and access a select set of Earth science data sets associated with air quality. This tool enables users to access a variety of distributed air quality relevant environmental datasets in a highly efficient manner, and allows the user to subset, aggregate and create composite geo-referenced visualizations of that data or download the data for further analysis. This training webinar will provide an overview of the RSIG tool, including available data sets, work through an example case study application of the tool, and share ways that data from the tool have been applied.
