Part of the work SC E3 does includes participating in site visits to perform energy conservation assessments. SC E3 has been involved with several assessments at wastewater treatment facilities and has developed recommendations that could be implemented at other sites as ways to reduce energy use and save money. Below is a sample recommendation for the implementation of a microturbine system to produce electricity using the biogas produced on site in the anaerobic digestors at the plant.
