Patilee Tate

Ph.D., Genetics, Clemson University

Patilee Tate is the laboratory manager for the Systems Mechanobiology laboratory. She received a Ph.D. in genetics from Clemson University and spent most of her career at Clemson investigating human cancer genetics. Primarily her research focused on the effects of extracts from natural products such as berries and herbs on breast cancer cells grown in culture. Through the years, she also taught biology and genetics courses and a variety of laboratory skills to many students. Patilee is a lifelong Tiger fan and spends most of her free time enjoying Clemson's athletic events. As an amateur artist, she loves to paint and take photographs.
