TISSUE ENGINEERING LAB

Welcome to the Tissue Engineering Lab!

According to the most recent statistics released by the American Heart Association, approximately 84 million people in this country suffer from some form of cardiovascular disease. The aim of this lab is to develop tissue engineered blood vessels, mitral valves, and cardiac muscle, resistant to the anticipated deteriorations induced by the severe diabetic and hypertensive conditions. Working together with scientists and surgeons involved in CUBEInC research, the mission of the Tissue Engineering Lab is to demonstrate that regenerative medicine is not something of the future, but it is actually here and now.
