Congratulations to PhD student Missoury Lytle, who was the graduate student recipient of the 2022 Award of Excellence for the Advancement of Women, which was awarded by Clemson University’s Commission on Women. Check out her story here “Ph.D. student Missoury Lytle helps bring women together.”
Unfortunately, Missoury was unable to attend the awards reception as she was competing in the national championship for disc golf (where she finished 8th overall). I was honored to accept the award on her behalf.

New GAANN Program Selected for Funding by the Dept. of Education
The GAANN Program titled, “GAANN: Molecular Engineering for Sustainably and Health (MESH)”, was selected for funding by the Department of Education. This program provides funding for at least 5 PhD students for a duration of 3 years. Prof. Davis will serve as the Director and Drs. Getman and Birtwistle will serve as co-Directors of the program. We are looking forward to the continued success of the GAANN program in our department here at Clemson University!
