  • The problem you are having
  • The exact text of the error message you are getting
  • If possible, include the sequence of commands you executed
so we can try to duplicate the problem and figure out what is going wrong. This will ensure that your issue is resolved in a timely fashion.

Note:

These machines can be remotely accessed from home by first using the SSH program to connect to access.ces.clemson.edu,and then using either the unix command ssh or rsh to connect to a unixlab machine to do your work. In order to establish a remote desktop connection from a windows machine to one of the above mentioned unix systems, run the Remote Desktop Connection application and provide the DNS name of the system you want to connect to, then authenticate with your Unix Credentials. NOTE***If you are off campus, you must first VPN to campus before establishing a Remote Desktop Connection.
