Dr. Gilmore and the S.M.A.R.T. lab are dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion within our lab, department, university, and beyond. Diversity is a pillar of the interdisciplinary philosophy that fuels our research. Specifically, we are interested in increasing access to underrepresented minorities in STEM and improving the experience and persistence of these students through undergraduate and graduate programs through consistent mentoring and the provision of resources critical to success.
